Pick a direction

These are working mockups. A placeholder silhouette stands in for a photograph of Congressman Davis.

Direction A layout: portrait in a circular frame with name and event details on UIC red
Still layout · animation comes with the final version
A

Portrait Spotlight

His photo, centered and framed in a circle. Recognizing him is what draws people in.

Best for: instant recognition. It leads with the man himself.
Direction B layout: stacked words Community, Health, Equity, Legacy above a red details card
Still layout · animation comes with the final version
B

Kinetic Type

Graphic-heavy and driven by words. Community. Health. Equity. Legacy. stack above a red details card. This is the most modern, poster-like option.

Best for: putting the health-equity theme first, with energy and no clutter.
Direction C animated example: camera pushes into the library doors, which open into the invitation
Animated example · shows the level of motion
C

Full Motion

The most animation-heavy option. The animation tells a story and shows viewers this is an event they'll physically attend: we push in on the library, the doors open, and the invitation is revealed.

Best for: making it feel like an invitation to a place, in a clean graphic style.
Direction D example: colored panels slide through a photo frame above fixed event details
Sample slide motion · panels stand in for photos
D

Slideshow

Led by photographs. A series of recognizable photos of Congressman Davis and the people and places tied to the event slide through the frame, while the save-the-date details stay fixed below. The colored panels here stand in for the photos.

Best for: letting familiar photographs carry the invitation. Needs a set of approved photos.
A and B show layout only; the final versions will be animated. Every animated version opens on the finished card, so email clients that don't play animation (such as desktop Outlook) still show all the details. Elements can be mixed across ideas.
